At CAPREIT, our mission goes beyond providing homes. We strive to be a driving force for positive change in the communities we serve. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the success of our inaugural 2024 Keys for Impact: Caring for our Communities campaign, which raised an incredible $150,150 to support charitable organizations across Canada.
Through this initiative, a portion of new rental revenue was directed to charities that align with our values of inclusion, sustainability, and social responsibility. This campaign, part of our broader CAPGiving program, reflects our unwavering commitment to giving back and ensuring that every new lease contributes to a brighter future for those in need.
A Collaborative Effort to Strengthen Communities

- FoodShare Toronto (Toronto, ON)—Promoting equitable access to healthy food through innovative programs and partnerships.
- Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver (Burnaby, BC)—Building affordable homes and fostering stability for families.
- Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (Calgary, AB)—Providing nutritious lunches to school-aged children.
- Leftovers Foundation (Calgary, AB)—Reducing food waste and redistributing surplus food to those in need.
- REACH Regina (Regina, SK)—Improving community access to nutritious food through local programs.
- Dans la rue (Montreal, QC)—Supporting homeless and at-risk youth with resources and opportunities.
- Le Chaînon (Montreal, QC)—Providing shelter and support to women experiencing crisis or homelessness.
- Hope Blooms (Halifax, NS)—Empowering youth through food security and entrepreneurial programs.
- Shelter Nova Scotia (Halifax, NS)—Offering housing and support services to those experiencing homelessness.
These organizations tackle pressing issues such as food insecurity, housing instability, and youth empowerment—causes that resonate deeply with our residents and employees. By partnering with them, we’re amplifying efforts to address critical challenges and foster sustainable solutions.
