Mark Kenney, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mark Kenney joined Canadian Apartment Properties REIT (CAPREIT), a TSX listed company, in 1998. CAPREIT’s portfolio consists of over 67,500 residential rental units and land lease sites across Canada, and the Netherlands. With over 28 years of experience in the multi-family sector and as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark is actively involved in creating and implementing company policy, directing the property management team, and oversight of the marketing, procurement, development and acquisitions departments. Mark has ultimate responsibility over all of CAPREIT’s operations in Canada and Europe, including CAPREIT’s portfolio in the Netherlands. Prior to joining CAPREIT, Mark held a senior position at Realstar Management Partnership, overseeing portfolios in Western Canada and Northern Ontario. Mark’s career includes leadership roles at Greenwin Property Management and Tridel where he managed various portfolios in the Greater Toronto Area. Mark is a board member and prior chair of the Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario, a board member of St. Hilda’s Towers and was a founding board member of the GTAA. Mark holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Carleton University.

Mark has ultimate responsibility over all of CAPREIT’s operations in Canada and Europe, including CAPREIT’s own portfolio in the Netherlands and the Irish Residential Properties REIT portfolio in Ireland, which CAPREIT manages through its Irish subsidiary. Jodi Lieberman, Chief People, Culture and Brand Officer
Jodi Lieberman joined Canadian Apartment Properties REIT (CAPREIT) in 2009 and has been instrumental in developing our people and defining our culture, making CAPREIT one of the best places to work in Canada. Jodi has over 20 years of professional Human Resources experience with large organizations such as Labatt Brewing Company, TELUS Mobility and Bentall Kennedy. Jodi is responsible for leading and implementing CAPREIT’s People Culture and Brand strategy in alignment with the company’s growth-oriented business goals. Jodi has contributed significantly to the creation of a collaborative and highly engaged team, capable of meeting CAPREIT’s growing needs and is ultimately responsible for the employee experience. This includes ESG, training and development, talent acquisition and retention, wellness, employee relations, corporate services and compensation. As recognition for Jodi’s and her team’s accomplishments, CAPREIT has been consistently recognized as one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada since 2014. Jodi has an Honours BA in Sociology from York University and a graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Seneca College.
