Brad Cutsey, President and Chief Executive Officer
Brad Cutsey, CFA, joined CAPREIT in July 2026 as President and Chief Executive Officer. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees. Previously, Mr. Cutsey served as President and Chief Executive Officer of InterRent Real Estate Investment Trust (“InterRent”) (TSX: IIP.UN), where he was responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction, capital allocation, and day-to-day operations across its nearly $4 billion multi-residential portfolio.
Mr. Cutsey has approximately 30 years of experience in real estate and capital markets, including prior roles as Group Head of Real Estate Investment Banking and as a top-ranked Equity Research Analyst with prominent financial institutions. Throughout his career, he has advised on billions of dollars of real estate transactions and equity and debt financings and has played a key role in the formation and growth of several publicly listed REITs.
Mr. Cutsey currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Automotive Properties REIT (TSX: APR.UN) and is a member of the Audit Committee and Governance, Compensation and Nominating Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Nexus Industrial REIT (TSX: NXR.UN) and is a member and former Chair of the Audit Committee and former member of the Governance, Compensation and Nominating Committee. He formerly served on the Board of Trustees and Capital Resource Committee of InterRent.
Mr. Cutsey is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishop’s University, with a concentration in Finance and a major in Economics.

Stephen Co, Chief Financial Officer
Stephen Co is currently CAPREIT’s CFO. Stephen has been with CAPREIT since 2011, and most recently held the position of Vice President, Accounting. In addition, prior to this appointment, Stephen was the Chief Financial Officer of European Residential Real Estate Investment Trust (“ERES”) (TSX:ERE.UN), a role he assumed in January 2021. Previously, Stephen worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the assurance practice servicing clients in the real estate sector. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
